BioCorneum is a silicone based gel with SPF 30 protection. The key component in bioCorneum is FDA approved “Silishield Technology,” which utilizes the benefits of traditional silicone sheeting but in a comfortable gel form.
This product is ideal for body areas with frequent sun exposure, such as the neck, face, chest and hands, but it may also be used for scars on other parts of the body.
BioCorneum comes in a convenient pump bottle and is easy to use. It goes on clear and make-up and lotions may be placed over it once it has dried. Dr. McDaniel recommends using the product twice a day for a minimum of 60 days on new scars and 90 days on older scars.
